The Cellar Door Fest team are deeply saddened by the devastation caused by the recent bushfires, and our hearts and thoughts are with all South Australian producers and growers that have been affected in Kangaroo Island and the Adelaide Hills.

To give back to the industry that has given us so much support, we will be running some special fundraising activities at our 2020 Festival to benefit the Adelaide Hills and Kangaroo Island bushfire appeals.

Among these, we will be selling our popular Cellar Door Fest wine glass holders for $10 each, with 100 percent of proceeds supporting the Adelaide Hills Wine Region Fire Appeal and the Kangaroo Island Mayoral Relief and Recovery Bushfire Fund. These will be available for purchase onsite from the CDF Shop.

In addition, we will be hosting a Silent Auction during our Friday session on 7 February, with 100 percent of proceeds from the Auction also shared between the above funds. The auction will be set up in by the main seating area at the heart of the Festival and run between 5pm – 8.30pm. Among a host of great items up for bids, a bottle of Penfolds Grange; tickets to see Michael Bublé at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre; a Holy Grail Winery Experience at Two Hands Wines in the Barossa Valley; a John Eales 2003 Rugby World Cup Framed Jersey and much more.

The 2020 Festival will ALSO feature a special Bushfire Relief Market – a zone dedicated to showcasing producers directly impacted by the recent bushfires and providing them a free platform to sell their wares. Please note, due to limited stock, complimentary tastings may not be available in this area.

Now, more than ever, all the businesses impacted by the terrible bushfires need our help. We encourage you to eat, drink and buy local – and when it is safe to do so, plan a visit to each of the regions and #gowithemptyeskies.
