Padthaway is a small town on the Riddoch Highway in south-eastern South Australia. The wine region has an assortment of regionally branded wines and a reputation for consistently producing premium quality wines across a wide range of varieties and styles. Padthaway Wine Region is quite unique; 62 kilometres long, 8 kilometres wide with the Riddoch Highway running through the middle and comprising 345 square kilometres. The region has more than 4000 hectares of vineyard planted. The predominant varieties synonymous with the region are Shiraz, Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon.
